Product Description

The Mora Garberg is one of my favorite bushcraft knives. It's widely respected for its simplicity, toughness, and sharp edge. For those reasons, it's the perfect choice to be the very first sheath introduced in our product line. If you own the Garberg knife but want more out of your sheath, I'm confident you'll love this. *Sale is for the sheath only; we do not sell knives.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Adaptive Retention System

Perfect Retention

This sheath is made from two layers of kydex that are fastened together with hardware and augmented by a piece of elastic shock cord. This creates firm gripping pressure, while still allowing the layers to flex apart. Now you have the best of both worlds: strong retention AND easy access to the knife.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Thumb Push Block

Easy Extraction

A slip-resistant thumb push block provides for easy extraction of the knife. To use it, simply grip the knife handle with four fingers and then press your thumb against this block. The knife will come out smoothly and there will not be any need to reconfigure your grip.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Front View

Exceptional Fit

We engineered the perfect fit by creating a small clearance area along the entire blade channel, and then made a precisely shaped indent near the point. This means the blade has wiggle room as you insert it, but at final depth, it locks into place, perfectly secure.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Cleanout Channels

Simple Debris Removal

Three clean out channels provide for easy removal of contaminants like sand or dirt. Simply irrigate the sheath with water and flex the shells by hand to release the trapped debris. These channels are isolated to the back layer of kydex, which keeps a streamlined appearance on the front.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Tie Down Points

Convenient Tie-Down Points

The perimeter eyelets accommodate 2 strands of paracord and the slots will take most webbing up to 3/4” thick. You can even fit some types of 1" webbing through the slot if you partially fold it. This allows for improvised attachment on things like backpacks, shoulder straps, etc.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Thicker Material

Thicker Than Industry Standard

We chose heavy duty .093" kydex for this sheath, which is thicker than the commonly used .08" found on most knife sheaths. This equates to better retention and more durability.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Comfortable Carry

Comfortable in Every Position

Whether you are hiking, sitting, climbing, or even wearing a backpack, our free floating belt loop design moves slightly to prevent snagging and digging into your side. This also gives easy access to the handle so that you can get a full grip when extracting the knife. Accomodates belts up to 2" wide.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Industrial Stitching

Industrial Stitching

We use an industrial grade machine to sew the nylon belt loop. Unlike metal rivets, which destroy a portion of the nylon webbing, sewing achieves the highest strength and longevity by eliminating the possibility of tear-out.

Durasheath Kydex Garberg Sheath - Black and Gray Color Options

2 Color Options

We offer this sheath in black and gray kydex. Both look great! The gray offers contrast with some of the "black only" parts like the thumb push blocks and the eyelets. The black version has a classic look that matches well with anything.
